The Hawaii Cycling Club (HCC) is proud to introduce a new training time trial – The Airport.

With IRONMAN and LAVAMAN having to cancel their events, HCC with its time trial format is able to provide competitive events by structuring the time trials to meet current State and County COVID-19 requirements.

HCC is able to do this by setting up a small number of participants in WAVES. The number of cyclists in each WAVE will match or be less than the COVID requirement for groups.

Social Distancing is and always has been a Time Trial Format because participants start 30 seconds apart and competitors cannot draft and must maintain a four bike separation unless passing.

The Airport Training Time Trial will take place on November 13th.
​The first WAVE will start at 7:30 AM.
The AIRPORT course will be 16.6 miles, starting at the HWY 19 sign on Queen Ka’ahumanu Hwy South of Waikoloa Beach Road and ending at the White Sign (subject to change) indicating the two lanes continuing South and the right turn lane turning into the airport.
