HAWAII CYCLING CLUB and PEAMAN's PEDAL TIL YA PUKE (PTYP) Training Time Trial
Pedal Til Ya Puke is a 6.5 mile bicycle race 3,000 feet straight up Kaloko Dr. on the West side of the Big Island Sunday, September 20, 2026 at 7:30 AM This is a Cat 1 climb, averaging 8.9% with gradients over 18% on the hair pin turns This Hill Climb will definitely get your attention, a Real Monster!! Fun Fact: The PTYP, founded by Peaman, is the oldest continuous bicycle race – over 30 years - on the Big Island Register: www.bikereg.com/ptyp2026 Pre-registration is required and will NOT be available on the day of the event The event will not be a mass start but an individual Time Trial format covered by HCC’s liability insurance. ELIGIBILITY: You must be a current 2026 HCC member to participate in this event. Participation is free to HCC annual members. Annual membership can be purchased during the HCC registration process. EVENT DAY LOGISTICS Sign In – 6:45am – 7:15am Sign-in will be located at the intersection of Hina Lani St and Kohanaiki Rd Helmet numbers will be given at Sign-in Rider Instructions – 7:15am Group Photo – 7:20am Slow Roll to Kaloko Starting Line – 7:25am First Rider off – 7:30am Results will be available at the conclusion of the event at www.webscorer.com/hawaiicyclingclub ON THE ROAD Kaloko Dr is a narrow road with significant local traffic and an abundance of concerned residents Please ride as far right as is safe and remain courteous to vehicular traffic at all times HCC's continuing good will for this event depends on you! Rear flashing tail lights are strongly recommended Regardless of weather conditions extra caution is required on the post-ride descent In the event of rain riders may leave warm / dry clothing with at sign-in who will deliver to the finishing area. All riders are invited to Talk Story and Refreshments in the finishing area
