The Prologue is a short, 10-mile time trial that kicks off Hawaii Cycling Club’s 2026 series of events.
This event is designed for all cyclists from seasoned racers to complete novices, in age group classifications and several bike categories including standard road and tri-bike, tandem, track bike (single speed or fixie) and e-bike

ELIGIBILITY: You must be a current HCC member to participate in this event.
Annual HCC membership may be purchased for $30 during the registration process

STARTING LOCATION: The Prologue TTT starts on Ka'iminani Dr. about 200 feet Mauka of the Queen Ka'ahumanu Highway
METRICS: 10 miles over rolling terrain following the Queen Ka'ahumanu Highway north, with about 400 feet of elevation gain:

SIGN IN: 6:45am - 7:15am - Helmet numbers assigned at sign-in based on seeding
WHERE: Pukiawe St. off of Ka'iminani Dr.
PRE-RACE MEETING: 7:15am – 7:20am
PRE-RACE PHOTO: 7:20am
TIME TRIAL STARTS: First rider off at 7:30am, then every 30 seconds. E-Bikes go last.
FORMAT
Time trial format, participants seeded slowest to fastest, starting at 30 second intervals. E-Bikes go last.
ON THE ROAD: No Drafting, maintain 4 bike lengths unless actively passing, stay as far right as is safe and allow faster riders to pass on the left, be courteous out there, and SAFETY FIRST !!
TIMING: Results will be available immediately upon finishing at www.webscorer.com/hawaiicyclingclub
TALK STORY: The famous HCC Talk Story Station set up at the Scenic Overlook, about 1.5 miles past the finishing line.
