About the course:
The course goes south on the Queen Ka'ahumanu Highway, starting at the Hwy 19 sign just south of Waikola Beach Road. The finish line is the Veterans Cemetery left turn sign on the makai side of the highway. This 12.2 mile time trial is the first half of the Lavaman course, featuring the important and challenging hills to the Scenic Overlook and the Kua Bay turnoff. People of all abilities are welcome to participate. Novices may either compete or ride the course as a non-competitive Saturday ride. Members of other bicycling clubs and athletes training on their own are encouraged to participate and to wear their club jerseys. |
