ANSWER ONE QUESTION: You will be asked what your expected race MPH will be. The MPH you enter will be used by HCC to seed you. (Place in the starting order with competitors of similar ability).
. $5 Fee for Race Day Registration Because pre-registering is new, race day registration will be allowed for a modest $5.00 fee plus for non-HCC members the $10 HCC one day membership/insurance wavier or the one year HCC membership $20 or the 2 year membership $80 with the new HCC jersey. NEW TIMING: HCC race officials will be using a new timing method – webscorer.com, which requires entering race participants’ information prior to the event. One of the benefits for competitors is within a few minutes after completing the race, they will be able to view their results using the webscorer.com app. on their cell phones. Another benefit is timing of individual competitors begins when the racer starts, whether it is exactly 30 seconds after the previous starter or a second or two more or less than the previous starter and ends when the racer crosses the finish line. |

On Saturday, February 15tt The Prologue, a short 10 mile training time trial, kicks off Hawaii Cycling Club’s 2020 series of events.
The 10 mile Prologue Training Time Trial is designed for seasoned racing cyclists, as well as, beginners to bicycle racing.
RACE DAY INFORMATION: Sign-in on race day is from 6:15 AM – 6:30 AM on Pukiawe St. off of Ka’iminani Dr. about 0.1 mile mauka of the Queen Ka’ahumanu Hwy.
From 6:30 – 6:40 HCC will seed cyclist based on estimated times – from slowest to fastest.
Riders will receive their start numbers from 6:40 – 6:45.
The pre-race meeting will be held 6:45 – 6:50. Competitors will move to the start line after the pre- race meeting.
The Prologue starts at 7:00 AM on Queen Ka’ahumanu Hwy immediately North of Ka’iminani Dr. The course goes North 10 miles. Individual riders start every 30 seconds. Drafting is not allowed.
Non-competitive riders may also participate but must either start prior to 6:45 AM or after the last Training Time Trial competitor.
MEMBERSHIPS: Participation by both the non-competitive and the competitive cyclists requires one of three HCC memberships: (1) a one day membership ($10) to cover insurance; (2) a 2020 – 2021 membership ($80) with a HCC 2020-2021 jersey or (3) a 2020 one year membership ($20) plus bikrereg.com process fees.
FREE STUDENT MEMBERSHIPS: High School Students and younger students are eligible to sign up for a free 2020 membership. The Membership/Insurance wavier must be signed by a parent or guardian.
AFTER THE PROLOGUE: The famous HCC Talk Story Station will be serving refreshments for both competitive and non-competitive riders, volunteers and spectators in the parking area of Scenic Point.
Results will be announced and posted.
