Hawai'i Cycling Club and Metzler Contracting Company are proud to present the 6th Annual Hawai'i Century Rides!
NEW COURSE!
RIDE FROM HAWI TO POLULU VALLEY LOOKOUT Register at: https://www.active.com/kawaihae-hi/cycling/hawaii-century-ride-2019 Way to go Rich Bell, Century Director, for adding the picturesque Hawi to Polulu Valley Lookout roadway to Hawaii Cycling Club’s CENTURY on April 14, 2019!! The Polulu Valley extension enabled Rich to cut off the Mamalaoha Hwy & Waikoloa Rd to Hina Lani St in Kailua – Kona section of the Century course. The new course is 87 miles but still close to 6000 feet of elevation gain. This new long course starts, as always and as all routes, at Spencer Beach Park, follows the Akoni Hwy through Hawi and East past several interesting communities to Polulu Valley Lookout and back to Hawi; where riders will then go over the KohalaMountain Road to Waimea where they connect to the Mamalahoa Hwy; then down Waikoloa Rd. to the Queen Kaahumanu Hwy and back to Specncer Beach for post ride “grinds.”. Participants, not interested in the ride over the KohalaMountain, may return at any point to Spencer Beach on the Akoni Hwy and either stop at Spencer Beach or continue to Waikoloa Rd on the Queen Kaahumanu Hwy and then return to Spencer Beach. There will be several aid stations along the routes. So many course choices – so much beauty! REGISTER TODAY! BRING YOUR FRIENDS!
