The HCTT will start at 8:30 AM on Saturday, July 18. Please arrive no later than 8:15. The location for both the sign in and the start is Komohana & Puainako St. in Hilo.

The HCTT gains 2521 feet elevation, starting with a 393 foot gain in the first 2 miles and finishing with a gain in elevation of 2123 feet over the last 10 miles.
Pre-registration is required and will be limited to 30 participants. Registration will NOT be available July 18th. Pre-register for the Saturday, July 18th Hilo Climbing Time Trial (HCTT) by July 15th at:
Pre-registration is free to HCC members. Non-members must purchase a one day membership/insurance wavier for $10+ bikereg fees. The HCC one year and two year memberships will also be available for purchase during the registration process. High School and younger students are eligible to sign up for a free 2020 membership. The Membership/Insurance wavier must be signed by a parent or guardian.
Social distancing and Covid safety best practices:
1. Pre-registration online is required and there will be no “morning of” registration.
2. Participants verbally inform volunteer of their arrival. No physical “sign in” will be required.
3. Participant numbers will be placed on a table for participant to pick up and place on their own helmets.
4. Participants are required to wear masks until they are next in line to start, and put mask back on after finishing.
5. Participants keep 6 feet social distance both at the start and at the end and we request no mingling or talk story at the end.
6. Volunteers wear masks.
Please do not participate If you have a cough or fever, are not feeling well, or do not feel safe participating or volunteering.
