The Queen Ka’ahumanu Triathlon Club was formed in 2010 to help secure the long-term interests of the Big Island triathletes and the world class volunteer community that has made Kona synonymous with the sport of triathlon.
The initial long-term goals included developing events to help local and visiting triathletes organize their training activities and encouraging young Hawaii residents to develop healthy lifestyles through triathlon. Since 2010 other entities have come into existence solely to address the second goal so, in cooperation with the Hawaii Cycling Club, QKTC will concentrate on finding needs in the regional training calendar and — with the help of our great volunteers — filling them.
HCC President Daniel Hodel is the Honorary Dictator of QKTC, pending his overthrow. He might be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org or he might not.
