Hawaii Cycling Club Constitution(amended 12/16/06)


ARTICLE I.

Name:    The name of the organization will be the Hawaii Cycling Club.


ARTICLE II.

Purpose:    Purpose of the organization is to provide opportunities, promotion and education of recreational and competitive cycling by:
Promotion of honest and fair cycling;
Education of cyclists in the different areas of the sport;
Encouragement / support recreational cycling activities;
Encouragement / support competitive cycling activities;
Promotion and practice of safe cycling techniques;


ARTICLE III.

Membership:

Section 1.     Membership is open to individuals and families who desire to promote the various purposes of the Hawaii Cycling Club.
Section 2    Types of memberships available:
Individual
Family
One-Day
Section 3.     Parent or Guardian's signature necessary for approval of membership for those under age 18.
Section 4     Waiver of club liability shall be signed by all members.


ARTICLE IV
(Amended Jul-7-2007)
Dues:
Section 1.   Dues are payable as follows:
One-day membership - $5.00
One-year Individual membership - $25.00
One-year Family membership (two members) - $35.00 (Add $60.00 for each jersey, if desired.)
Two-year individual membership with jersey - $80.00
Section 2. Membership will be deactivated if renewal is over 30 (thirty) days past due.


ARTICLE V


Meetings:

Section 1.     The annual meeting and election of officers shall be held at the regularly scheduled meeting during the month of November.
Section 2.    Regular and special meetings are provided for in the Hawaii Cycling Club By-Laws.


ARTICLE Vl.

Officers:
The election of officers shall be held as in the Hawaii Cycling Club By-Laws.


ARTICLE VII.

Executive Committee (Board)
The Executive Committee shall be composed of the elected officers of the club, the appointed committee chairpersons, and the immediate past president. The executive board shall have immediate charge, management, and control of the club between meetings.


ARTICLE VIII.

Committees
Committees are provided for in the Hawaii Cycling Club By-Laws.


ARTICLE IX.

Amendment
The constitution may be amended in any respect at any regular meeting of the club by an affirmative vote of 2 /3 of the members present.
